I went for a visit with Louise on Wednesday. She seems to be holding her own. The speech therapist had been by and the physical therapist as well. Louise doesn’t seem to think the speech therapy is helping her at all. She said it is overwhelming. Ray told me that this new lady has a … Continue reading Louise update
One stick and a story
My CT scan went well. Only one stick, and all the dye went into the vein. Hurray! I told Bill I feel like a superstitious baseball player. When things go smoothly, I try to remember what I had for breakfast, what I was wearing, and how much water I drank so that I can repeat … Continue reading One stick and a story
CT
So tomorrow is the day I have been dreading for 3 months. I have put it as far back in my mind as possible, tried to ignore it, and pretended it would never come. Yet it is here. CT scan day. I will not tell you that I am not afraid, because I am. Anytime … Continue reading CT
Louise’s latest
Bill went and spent some time with Louise while Ray went to a meeting earlier this week. Bill said that she wanted him to leave her and go get her some food. When he refused to leave she got mad, but eventually gave in and went with him once she got hungry enough. Once they … Continue reading Louise’s latest
Bugs
Sorry about the delay...it is on the blog end of things. They assure me that they are working on it. I am thinking that since I am on writing this little message maybe the problem is fixed...hopefully so. I will check back and update you all this weekend sometime.
Good News
Good news. The MRI showed that Louise’s tumor has stabilized. That is a great thing, it is what we had hoped and prayed for. It is what the radiation was supposed to do, so for that we are grateful. Big Thanks
It was a glorious day in Clarkesville on Saturday. However, even though there was a light breeze and just the right amount of fall sunshine, I am not talking about the weather. I am referring to way the community came together in unity, to support an important cause. Sidney’s Salon opened its doors to raise … Continue reading Big Thanks
Lesson 17-Embrace Freedom
Did you think my fitness lessons were forgotten? Nope. The issue I have had with this particular lesson is whether or not to call it a fitness lesson. You see, it applies to every area of life and it is not really new. However, because I am learning to apply it to my health and … Continue reading Lesson 17-Embrace Freedom
More doctors
The doctor’s appointments went well today. Not too much wonderful news, but not too much bad either. The eye doctor said that there isn’t much more to do at this point but try to let her eyes adjust to the glasses. That was disappointing to Louise. The other doctor adjusted some of her medicine to … Continue reading More doctors
