#4 Things to Write About

A bad smell and where it came from
Part of living in the country is the smells. Rural aromas can be pleasant or nasty. I’ve always said you know you have adapted to life in the country when you can tell what animals are around by the smell of their poop. Chicken litter smells different than cow dung. Hogs and horses each have their own individual essence. Mix some of that in with a dead skunk in the road on a sweltering summer afternoon and you have a toxic country cocktail of smells that will make the hair in your nose curl right up.
