Welcome

I am so glad you are here! Since you are new to Michelle’s Mosaic, I will introduce myself. I am a retired teacher and a lifetime educator. I am a mother of 4 grown children and a grandmother to 1 grandson. I am a wife of 38 years. I am a woman of faith. I am a caregiver. I am a tutor. I am a curriculum developer. I am a potter. I am a speaker. I am a writer who is a Christian, not a Christian writer. There is a difference. Mainly, I try to live my faith so it can be seen, rather than preaching it. I write real. I write raw. I don’t write politics. I hope to inspire and bring hope in the crazy times in which we are living with every post. I usually post once a week, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on what is going on in my life. Welcome.

Now, let me show you around. If you are here because of the Decatur Book Festival, you will see I process my life by writing about it. I started my blog 17 years ago, when I had cancer, to keep friends and family informed. Since then, I have written about a lot more than just cancer. All the categories are above, so feel free to browse around to find topics that interest you.

If you are here because of our Teepa Snow interview, welcome to you as well! I have a category entitled Our Dementia Journey where you can find my writings about caregiving for Mom while she had Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). There are also links to all my books on the right where you can click and it will take you to the book page on Amazon. There are numerous other health related categories if you are caregiving for someone with cancer or a traumatic brain injury.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or to book a speaking engagement. mgedsolutions@gmail.com

Thanks for being here!

  1. Hello. I’m a longtime follower and a big fan. I was an English that worked abroad. I have always enjoyed your writings and how you share your faith. You are a beautiful sister, mother and friend and you generously share the love of Christ with those of us who stumble into your letters.

    Great job!

  2. I’m the leader of a worldwide ministry of discipleship, and no stranger to struggle and spiritual warfare. Currently, I’m in an especially difficult part of the journey. I found “Words to the Weary” while searching the internet for encouragement. It’s been a source of great strength from our Lord. Thank you!
